Cottage No. 12
If this is your first trip to Alaska I know you will enjoy it. If you have been here before you know I'm right! And, if you are looking for a place to stay, come stay with me. My house was built in 1915 and retains a lot of its charm. It is situated on Government Hill, Anchorage's oldest neighborhood, and is within walking distance of downtown. In the 1930s or so a one bedroom apartment was added on the side of the cottage and you are invited to stay there. You will have your own entrance, kitchen and private bath. (A doorway between the house and apartment allows us to visit as much as you would like.) A short walk or cab ride across the bridge puts you right in downtown Anchorage where you can enjoy our museum, theaters, shops and truly outstanding restaurants. If you stay at Cottage No. 12 you are not only close to Anchorage but also to Alaska's history!
