Riverwind Inn IN THE HEART OF NEW ENGLAND'S CONNECTICUT RIVER VALLEY between Essex and Chester.
Riverwind Inn offers seven beautiful guest rooms providing comfort and privacy. All rooms have private baths, hair dryers, AC, Wi-Fi, ceiling fans, period antiques, and some have fireplaces. There are two common areas with fireplaces, and one features our 12-foot-long Rumford fireplace made of stone from the original foundation.

From I-91 South (including Bradley Airport)
Exit 22 South (a left-hand exit) to Route 9.
Route 9 to Exit 5. Turn left on Route 80 (Elm Street)
Go past a stop sign at the firehouse to a stoplight.
Turn right on Route 154 (Main Street).
Riverwind Inn is a short distance ahead on the left, just after the town green.
From Interstate 95
Take I-95 to Route 9 north (Exit 69 from I-95)
Route 9 to Exit 4.
Turn left on Route 154, Riverwind Inn is 1 1/4 miles on right.
On I-95 North past the New Haven area, Route 80 is a picturesque rural road and provides a welcome alternative to our northbound guests if I-95 becomes congested.
By Train
The closest train station is 10 miles away in Old Saybrook, CT.
By Plane
Commercial airports are at Hartford or Providence. Private airports are located nearby at Chester and East Haddam, both 5 miles from Riverwind Inn.
By Boat
Brewers Deep River Marina is on the Connecticut River just north
of Essex, and is within walking distance of Riverwind Inn.
