From Boston
- Take US 1 north to 95 north to I 295 north to I95 North to Bangor to route 395 east to alternate 1 to Ellsworth.
- From Ellsworth, follow Route-3 toward Bar Harbor.
- After crossing onto Mt Desert Island, bear right and follow Route-102 through historic Somesville and continue to Southwest Harbor.
- Proceed to the center of town and then turn left on Clark Point Road.
- Continue to Harbour Cottage Bed and Breakfast Inn on the left side of the road atop Dirigo hill overlooking Southwest Harbor.
