Hillside House Bed and Breakfast a bright and spacious contemporary house on almost 7 acres and looks across rolling hills to Mt. Tom in the south and Mt. Toby in the north. Enjoy the swimming pool during the summer or lounge on the large deck and savor the view. This rural setting, just east of the Berkshire Hills in the beautiful Connecticut River Valley, is only a 15-minute drive from Northampton, 25 minutes from Amherst center, and 10 minutes from historic Deerfield. The house is conveniently located 5 minutes from Interstate 91 and 25 minutes from the Massachusetts Turnpike. A generous home-cooked breakfast is included. Guest rooms have private bathrooms. Guest rooms are tastefully furnished with queen-size beds, are bright and airy, and each affords access to the swimming pool. The larger room offers a comfortable sitting area with sweeping views of the southern mountains. Check-in time is between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., or by special arrangement. Check-out time is 11:30 a.m. Hillside House is a SMOKE-FREE environment. Children 12 years or older can be accommodated. Sorry, pets are not permitted.
From Greenfield & the North Take Interstate 91 south to Exit 24 (Whately/Deerfield), turn south on Route 5/10. Take first right (1 mile) onto Swamp Road. Go to T-junction, turn left onto North Street. Turn right immediately past the Whately Inn onto Haydenville Road. Turn right at fork (.4 mile) onto Dickinson Hill Road, and first left onto Masterson Road (.4 mile). Hillside House is on the left, .4 mile down the road.
From Amherst Take Route 116 north to Route 5/10. Take a left turn onto Route 5/10 south, and first right onto Swamp Road, then follow directions above.
From Northampton Take Route 5/10 north (King Street), approximately 5 miles. Turn left onto Pantry Road (just past Penske and Fed Ex). Follow road 3.3 miles, then turn left immediately before the Whately Inn onto Haydenville Road. Turn right at fork (.4 mile) onto Dickinson Hill Road, and then first left onto Masterson Road (.4 mile). Hillside House is on the left, (.4 mile) down the road.
From the South via I-91 Take Interstate 91 to Exit 24 (S.Deerfield). Turn left onto Route 5/10 south. Drive 1.2 miles and turn right onto Swamp Road. Go to T-junction, turn left onto North Street. Turn right immediately past the Whately Inn onto Haydenville Road. Turn right at fork (.4 mile) onto Dickinson Hill Road, and first left onto Masterson Road (.4 mile). Hillside House is on the left, .4 mile down the road.
