Inn at Lonesome Hollow:
We are proud to have received the 2013 and 2014 Trip Advisor “Certificate of Excellence Award”. This is awarded to lodging businesses worldwide that rank in the top 10% for traveler feedback. We thank all of our guests who have seen fit to provide positive feedback about our inn. We are in business to provide an outstanding lodging experience for our guests. Check in is from 3 PM to 9 PM. No early check ins, please, unless previously arranged. Preparing for our guests is important to us. Thank you for giving us the needed time. The Inn at Lonesome Hollow lies only a couple of miles away from the Kickapoo River, near the villages of Soldiers Grove and Gays Mills. We offer one hundred and sixty acres, mostly wooded, with natural gardens, hiking trails, a large pond, and even a small vineyard. Our bed and breakfast is very quiet and peaceful and offers our guests superb lodging options.
Choose from individual B&B rooms, two bedroom suites, or a two bedroom cabin. All of our lodging options include private baths, gas fireplaces, and king or queen beds. Many units offer whirlpool tubs and wireless internet. We provide this retreat while doing our best to tread lightly on our earth. We are part of the Travel Green Wisconsin collection of eco-friendly lodging businesses and we protect and maintain almost 100 acres of deciduous forest on our property. Located one hour south of La Crosse, WI and less than two hours west of Madison, the Inn at Lonesome Hollow is within an hour’s drive of five parks that offer great hiking and bicycling. World class trout fishing is only minutes away. Boat the Mighty Mississippi River; float the Wisconsin or Kickapoo Rivers; learn about Native American and local Wisconsin history; visit the shops of Amish craftsmen; enjoy unique rural events and shops.
